While Wi-Fi hot spots may be proliferating, they’re not always reliable and don’t help you much when you’re in between coverage areas. Neither do the usurious rates carriers are charging for Wi-Fi these days. When you’re in business and need Internet access while traveling there’s no substitute for an EV-DO card. Granted, the service is tad expensive, but if you need to access the Internet to make a living, an EV-DO card and service more than pays for itself.

Yeah, that's true. Researchers at University of Berkeley are actually planning to built a Supercomputer featuring 20 million processors, providing a peak performance of 200 petaflops! Reportedly, the supercomputer will be used for accurate climate studies and will be built using ultra-efficient embedded RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computer) CPUs. Wondering what would be the cost and power requirement of such a monstrous system?

I don’t care whether you’re a pilot or a frequent flier, there are still ways for the good old time zones to wipe your body clock clean of any past rhythms. Taking a trip from The U.S. to the U.K. is only fun once you’ve got your sleeping patterns back under control. At least enough so you can get a taste of both the night life, and the day light festivities.

One of the things that I love about airline travel is the ice cubes in the drinks they serve. I always liked the cylindrical shaped cubes that were somehow hollowed out in the middle. Somehow, they were always better than the cubes that you crack out of the ice trays at home. It appears that a Japanese company has cornered the market on unusual ice cube shapes with the Ice Mold, a spherical ice cube maker.

After seeing pictures of the Samsung Glyde, I believe that we have seen just about everything that can be done with cell phones. It appears that the new industry standard could be a touchscreen along with a QWERTY keyboard. Obviously some new iPhone-ish type of gadget has to come out in order to really revolutionize the mobile phone market any further. Until then, there is the Glyde. The Glyde is surfing the present industry standard with its touchscreen and QWERTY keyboard.

The phones launching today may have the latest cameras, GPS, Bluetooth, MP3 players and the sorts in them but they leave a lot to be desired in the design and feel of the phone. The S-series however steps back from this approach and sets off in a radically different design direction by combining sleek, sophisticated styling with top quality materials all put together in a compact package, to make the whole experience of looking at and owning the phone just as pleasurable as using it.

This phone is generating all the rage in the past few days on the web; we now have a few more clear images on how it looks. The snapshots show a 5.0-megapixel camera and confirm that the keypad touts a two-character-per-button layout similar to the P1. The finish looks far more sophisticated than these images could convey, can't wait to grab hold of one soon.
